MOSS CON 2012
Saturday, October 20, 2012 was our second annual Model Show and Competition -- MOSS CON 2012! We were thankful to once again have the opportunity to hold the event at the White House Theatre / Legend of Kung Fu We had 135 models entered into competition from 33 modelers! (This was triple the entries from last year!)
The special award for this year's show was the Pacific Theater of Operations during WWII. This was to commemorate the 68th anniversary of General McArthur's return to the Philippines on October 20, 1944.
This year our focus was to raise money for the IPMS/USA's Supporting the Troops Initiative. We look forward to being able to assist with this great cause—helping those who have sacrificed so much for our freedom! If you would like more information about this project, please visit http://www.ipmsusa.org/STT/index.htm.
Through the donations and sponsorships, and the show proceeds--after Administrative Fees--we were able to raise $1,140.00 which we will be able to donate to this excellent cause!
Thanks to all who attended and supported MOSS CON 2012 and made it successful! We truly appreciate you all! A special thanks goes to Rick Edens and the 4 State Modelers for making and donating the OUTSTANDING trophy for our Best of Show!
